Neck Formula (Bai Zhi Ge Gen Wan) is designed to relieve conditions affecting the head, neck, upper back, and shoulders caused by acute cold wind, damp wind, or cold-damp wind. It can be used for chronic pain in these areas if caused by wind-cold-dampness syndrome. Neck Formula (Bai Zhi Ge Gen Wan) can also be used as a substitute for Pueraria Formula (Ge Gen Tang) to treat wind-cold invasion without sweating.
Action according to Traditional Chinese Medicine: Dispels exterior pathogens, tonifies yang, relaxes the muscles of the head and neck, unblocks the Taiyang and Yangming channels in the upper body, dispels wind, dampness, and cold, and opens the nasal passages.
