Nourish Essence Formula is an augmented formula based on Rehmannia Six (Liu Wei Di Huang Wan), a classic formula for the treatment of Yin deficiency of the kidneys and liver. We add Yin herbs that nourish blood (Polygoni and Lycii), herbs that tone yang and essence or Jing (Cistanches, Cynomorii and Cuscutae) and astringent herbs that help retain the essence (Shisandrae and Ruby).
