Lysimachia GB Formula is a modification of the Minor Bupleurum Formula (Xiao Chai Hu Tang), designated for treating inflammation or gallbladder stone. We add lysimachia (Jin qian cao) to clarify moisture-heat of the liver and gallbladder and to expel the gallstones, turmis (Yu Jin) to invigorate the blood qi, clarify heat, cold blood and benefit the gallbladder, cappilaris (Yin Chen hao) to clarify the moisture-heat of the liver and vesicle. Bamboo shavins (zhu ru) cools the blood, clarifies heat and heat-phlegm; Gardenia Fruit (Shan Zhi zi) drains moisture-heat and moves the embarrassed qi of the liver and vesicle. White Peony (bai shao) softens the liver to end the pain stemming from spasms in the abdomen area, Melia Fruit (chuan Lian zi) moves the embarrassed qi of the liver and ends the pain.
